Hotel Review: The Tennessean Hotel & Marriott Knoxville Downtown
Luxury is typically defined as something non-essential but more and more these days I find myself redefining what I view as essential. And isn’t that the way it should be? As we grow and change so do our priorities. One of the major adjustments I’ve made since becoming a parent is my standards for hotel […]
Just a Swingin’
No apologies for being the mom who celebrates all the “firsts”. Little ones are a source of inexhaustible magic for the however long we allow them to be and in the midst of global sadness I’m here for the joy! After seeing the look of pure joy on Claire’s face on the swing I immediately […]
Welcome to Mashville
I am thrilled to share that we celebrated not one but two special occasions last weekend in Nashville. I graduated with my Master’s Degree as a Family Nurse Practitioner from Vanderbilt and on the same day Chris turned 30! After graduation we were looking for a place to escape the pouring rain and toast to […]
A Look Inside Dolly Parton’s Song & Hearth Restaurant
Dollywood’s DreamMore Resort provides an opportunity for park goers and visitors to “stay and play” in Pigeon Forge, Tennessee. Their in-house restaurant, Song & Hearth, serves up casual elegance that will make you feel right at home and the best part is that no one has to fight over who cleans the dishes. I was […]

They had almond milk (saints be praised) so I ordered a vanilla latte and sat by the window to people […]
Meet My Nephew Arlow
I officially became “Aunt Carly” on Wednesday and I couldn’t be happier! I won’t share too many details because it’s my sister’s birth story and not my own. I will say that he’s cuddly and likes to be held. Music to my ears! I hope y’all enjoy these snapshots I took at the hospital. I’m […]
Little Zigzag Falls Hike
While the guys went skiing on Mount Hood I went with the rest of the family to Little Zigzag Falls. The falls are just a short walk away from the parking lot which is great for kids. The trail was still covered in snow so the walk was exceptionally beautiful that day.
West Side Market in Cleveland, Ohio
Chris and I visited Cleveland, Ohio during Easter weekend and a trip to West Side Market is a must when you’re in the neighborhood. I was thrilled to be back and once again utterly jealous of the people who live within walking distance of all this delicious food. Our goal was to find the perfect […]
