No apologies for being the mom who celebrates all the “firsts”. Little ones are a source of inexhaustible magic for the however long we allow them to be and in the midst of global sadness I’m here for the joy! After seeing the look of pure joy on Claire’s face on the swing I immediately started plotting how quickly I could get Chris to put a swing set in the back yard.

I couldn’t miss the opportunity to share our amazing maternity photos shot by Tara Hodges in Roan Mountain State Park. I was nervous about it looking a little dreary outside but I’m slightly obsessed with the end result. After all the waiting it’s hard to believe Claire will be here in 2 weeks or less!

DELTA BLUES BBQ
The newest restaurant in Bristol caught my eye while walking down State Street during Rhythm and Roots last weekend. RHYTHM & ROOTS 2019
Bristol’s Rhythm & Roots Reunion is a music and art festival held every 3rd weekend in September on the state line between Tennessee and Virginia. One year my sister set up an art tent to sell her pottery which gave me a unique opportunity to see the festival from the other side. This year was much more relaxed because we decided to go for one day instead of all 3.Read more
