I discovered I was gluten intolerant after a trip to Italy in 2019 and since then I’ve been highly selective about what and when I’m willing to “risk it for the biscuit”. I prefer pastry over bread, cookies, or cakes but it can’t be just any pastry. I’m talking about the kind that would make you reconsider major life choices or convert to a different religion. I need transcendent pastry, people, and Crumb Bakeshop ticks all the right boxes. Let me show you around what is sure to become your weekly indulgence.
The vibe inside Crumb is elevated while also being cozy and welcoming. Crumb has a truly lovely interior but I’m here to tell you they don’t need it. The pastry speaks for itself. Every time I’ve stopped in for our weekly allotment of pistachio croissants I’ve had excellent service. The pastry case is well stocked but keep in mind Crumb additionally offers a full breakfast and lunch menu well worth your perusal. I’ll hit some of the high notes including bialy breakfast sandwiches, a vegan burger, and pastrami on black rye. You’ll want the homemade bagel chips as your side- trust me. Sundays are the most exciting as the breakfast/brunch menu changes weekly. Today’s special menu included blackberry chai french toast and a bialy and egg casserole with spinach, bacon onion marmalade, and provolone. Foodies, these are your people. Check out their website here and remember- the best is yet to crumb. Please fell free to share all your favorite bread puns in the comments and let me know if you stop in Crumb Bakeshop. Stay healthy, safe, and full of quality carbs.
Until next time,
Carly
