Well I have officially put all the Christmas decorations back in the basement except the tree. That one always seems to be the hardest. I got most of my presents put away and I usually take this opportunity to reorganize everything. Anyone else? Right now my biggest task is going through our wedding photos and trying to choose my favorites to print. It’s so hard! I wanted to break the wedding photo posts up instead of doing a whole week of them. I hope that’s alright with everyone. I think I’ve looked at these a hundred times by now. Here are the ones from the ceremony. Enjoy! You can click on the photos to enlarge them. Continue reading “WEDDING PHOTOS: THE CEREMONY”
I hope everyone had a wonderful celebration this weekend! We went to Ohio to be with Christopher’s family since we didn’t make it there for Christmas. On the drive up, I started noticing LOTS of snow. Once we got to West Virginia the roads were terrible. There were no salt trucks or scrapers in sight. At one point we were going 30 miles an hour on the interstate. Continue reading “A GIVEAWAY TO START THE NEW YEAR (NOW CLOSED)”
It’s no secret that Joe is my favorite non-human. He is the short and chubby love of my life. Since we don’t have kiddos Joe Joe gets presents from Santa Paws each year. When buying a gift for someone, even your dog, you should start by making a list of their favorite things. My kid likes to eat, nap, and chew so his gifts revolve around those themes. He’s in desperate need of a hair and nail trim so that gift will be added last minute. This might sound like less of gift and more of a punishment because some dogs hate baths and Joe is no different. He is, however, hopelessly in love with the grooming ladies at Pet Smart and they love him in return so he will be over the moon. Continue reading “WHAT JOE IS GETTING FROM SANTA PAWS”
I wanted to share these photos taken by Tara Hodges with Sweet Snaps based out of Kingsport, Tennessee. She shot our wedding photos and we continue to fall in love with the way she captures our little family with her camera. Of course Joe had to be in our Christmas card picture since we’re all Kiblers now and he’s no longer illegitimate. October 28th was a big day for him, too. I hope you enjoy these snapshots of us.
We wish you a very merry Christmas and a bountiful new year. We pray for God’s protection and provision in your life. We thank you for being on this journey with us. I want to personally thank you for taking the time to read my posts here on “You, Me, and Tennessee”. Your support means more than you know.
Until next time,
This year we decided to start a new Christmas tradition with our tree. We normally have a blue and silver tree and it’s a long story but my husband thought I liked the blue tree and I thought he did. Anyway, we both wanted a red and green tree we just never communicated that because we didn’t want to hurt each other’s feelings. Relationships are weird, y’all. Fast forward a couple months and we’ve got the first Christmas tree that feels incredibly personal to the newly cemented Kibler family. Let’s have a look, shall we? As much as I love going for a hike in the Great Smoky Mountains National Park I can’t bring my fluffy son with me on every trail. I’m not referring to those short legs! There are only two approved trails for dogs in the national park and they are “The Gatlinburg Trail” and “The Oconaluftee River Trail”. My husband and I wanted to take Joe into the park and get to see the gorgeous leaves before all they all end up scattered on the ground. Joe really enjoyed himself and fell asleep as soon as we got back to the car. Continue reading “DOG-FRIENDLY TRAILS IN THE SMOKIES”
Today Joe Joe turns 3 and to celebrate I have written him a sort of love letter. Continue reading “HAPPY BIRTHDAY, JOE!”
