The newest restaurant in Bristol caught my eye while walking down State Street during Rhythm and Roots last weekend. Delta Blues is a BBQ restaurant that feels a little like Memphis and Nashville right here in Bristol. My husband is known as the brisket king in our family so I knew it wouldn’t be long before we ended up at Delta Blues for dinner. Let me show you around.
Chris got burnt ends with fries and mac and cheese. He enjoyed his meal and he’s hard to please so I’d say that’s a good sign. I had smoked turkey and baked beans and the BBQ sauce was best sauce I’ve had in a while. I know everyone has different tastes with BBQ but I like a little heat and a little sweet.
What reminded me of Nashville was definitely the stage at Delta Blues. The open air concept makes it easy to enjoy music from the dining area as well as walking by on the street.
Delta Blues also has outdoor seating which looked beautiful. If Delta Blues is successful hopefully more new restaurants will come to Bristol. Stop by for smoked turkey, chicken, pork, brisket, burgers, or wings. I can’t wait to see live music there soon!
