Five of the Best Restaurants in Pigeon Forge, TN

This week’s “Friday 5” are 5 of the best restaurants in Pigeon Forge. When you drive down the Parkway there are restaurants everywhere and it can be overwhelming. You can find yourself going to the same places over and over again instead of eating somewhere new. Hopefully this will help the next time you’re having trouble deciding what’s for dinner. I included places that were unique to Pigeon Forge and not big chains. Let me know your favorite in the comments!

BEST ALL AROUND: THE POTTERY HOUSE CAFE AND GRILLE

I’ve said it before that this is my favorite restaurant in Pigeon Forge. I wrote a full post about The Pottery House here. Spring weather is upon us and I couldn’t be happier about it because the outdoor seating is divine. Shrimp and grits is my favorite dish but I’ve never had a bad meal there. My husband prefers the loaded potato soup in a bread bowl. Homemade bread is served on plates made by potters only a few doors down. You can’t go wrong with this one.

BEST FAMILY STYLE: THE OLD MILL RESTAURANT

The Old Mill Restaurant is across the street from The Pottery House in The Old Mill District. They serve meals family style which includes the best fried okra you’ve ever had in your life. There is usually a line out the door in the summer time but after you put your name in you can pop in to the surrounding shops while you wait. This one is a must for visitors. Trust me.

BEST LOCALLY SOURCED: LOCAL GOAT

This is another restaurant where everything is delicious. Local Goat is known for serving locally sourced and sustainable food and drinks. For an appetizer I would suggest the Beer Cheese Fondue. I’d suggest the Boneless Pork Chop, Shrimp and Grits, or any of the burgers for your main dish. Lastly, you have to try their bread pudding for dessert. Pro-tip: You’ll have to visit this restaurant in person if you want to try their food. They don’t do “to go” orders.

BEST FRIED PICKLES: J.T. HANNAH’S KITCHEN

Yes. We are those people. We have a favorite restaurant just for when we’re craving fried pickles but after you try them you’ll understand our addiction. If you have any room left after dinner, get the Big Orange Soak cake for dessert.

BEST QUICK BITE: PIGEON FORGE DELI

I got a chance to try Pigeon Forge Deli over the weekend and it was delicious. Their homemade breads and pretzels really set them apart. I got the cinnamon sugar pretzel with vanilla dipping sauce and it was divine. If you’re hungry for lunch then you should swing by and grab one of their sandwiches with a bowl of soup. You won’t be disappointed!

How does this list compare to your own? Did I leave out any of your favorites? I always like to hear from you and add new places to try when I go visit my family. If you want to save this to your Pinterest board you can save the link or click the Pinterest button below where it says “Share this”. I hope you all have a great weekend! We get our new bed tomorrow so I plan on being allll kinds of lazy in order to break it in.

Until next time,

Carly
