Empire State Building

Our first big stop in New York City was the Empire State Building. We dropped our luggage at the hotel, ate a quick bite at Junior’s, and headed to the famous landmark.

We went up to both the observation deck on the 86th floor and the 102nd floor at the top. The 86th floor is ridiculously windy but open and spacious. This floor also houses exhibits displaying the building’s history.

The 102nd floor is much smaller and cramped. It’s a circular room that is only wide enough for a few people to walk around at a time. If you’re claustrophobic then you might want to skip the top floor. You’ll get better pictures at the observation deck anyway.

The Empire State Building is open 8am-2am every day. Next time I’m in NYC I think I’ll go at night for a different view of the city. Have you ever been? Let me know!

Don’t forget to enter the giveaway from Monday’s post here. You could win a dozen macarons from Ladurée and all you have to do is comment on that post. Good luck everyone!

Until next time,

Carly
