FRIDAY FOOD FOR THOUGHT: BRIDE DAY FRIDAY

Time for the second installment of “Friday Food for Thought” and it’s all about weddings! Two of my best friends (my Maid of Honor and one of my bridesmaids) were engaged at the same time as me. Crazy! I never would have guessed we would all end up engaged and planning weddings at the same time but I’m so glad we did. Brittni isn’t engaged anymore, she’s a WIFE now. So weird. She and her husband Billy got married on September 16th at a beautiful ceremony in Knoxville. Here’s a snapshot byΒ Blush Creative Photography.

Isn’t she gorgeous? She looked exactly as perfect as I imagined and that cathedral veil… I die. She just got back from her honeymoon in St. Lucia and I bet she’s already missing the beach. Brittni’s husband Billy built her an arbor for their wedding and I am beyond honored that they are allowing Christopher and I to use it for our wedding in October. Brittni helped me find myΒ catererΒ (who was also her caterer) and we are already chomping at the bit to eat their BBQ again. Sevierville people check them out for your next event! Brittni, please know that I loved going on your wedding journey with you as a bridesmaid. From Atlanta, to Asheville, to Knoxville, you are worth every mile.

Hannah is getting married in June of next year and is my Maid of Honor. We’ve been soul mates since around 1993 and we have no plans of breaking up at this point. The two ladies on the right are Kassondra and Katie (who is doing my wedding makeup) and the four of us definitely know how to have fun when we’re all together. It’s tough being 2 hours away from them but I love that they can come have sleepovers at my house! This picture was taken after I blackmailed her into coming to our high school football field. I think I’ll do a throwback post on their engagement before they get married just to relive the hilarity of blindfolded Hannah. Her boyfriend of 6 years surprised her with an incredible custom black diamond ring that is featured at the top of this post.

Basically, today’s “Food for Thought” was a way for me to say that I feel incredibly blessed to be sharing this season of my life with two amazing ladies and I’m proud to call them my friends. People might think that being engaged at the same time as your friends is terribly stressful and I’m not going to say it isn’t. I’m just going to say that if you’re going through hell, you might as well have good company. It’s hard to believe that this time next year we will all be married! I am thinking of doing a post on our venue as well. Let me know what you think!

Until next time,

Carly
