Christopher and I celebrated his birthday by going to see The Goo Goo Dolls in Cleveland.  I’ve seen a select few concerts in my life but when I do I make them count. I’ve seen Elton John, The Eagles, and Britney Spears who all blew me away. The Goo Goo Dolls were no different. Hearing John Rzeznik sing in person was unbelievable and I’m pleased to report he sounds exactly the same as he does on his albums. Chris and I sang and danced the night away in perfect weather right on the water at Jacobs Pavilion at Nautica.

I loved sitting next to the birthday boy as the sun went down in Cleveland.

I apologize for the blurry concert pictures that I couldn’t help but take. I was going to bring my DSLR camera but I was afraid that a fellow Goo Goo Dolls fan might spill beer on it.

My favorite Goo Goo Dolls song is “Come to Me”. I tried so hard not to cry while they played it live but wasn’t successful. It was magical to dance with Chris while hearing The Goo Goo Dolls play my favorite song just feet away from us. I chose that song to play while I walk down the aisle in October so to say the song means a lot to me is an understatement. If you’ve never heard it then you should give it a listen. When I’m going crazy over wedding details or life in general becomes a little to hard to bear, Chris plays “Come to Me” and I find myself again. For the rest of my life that song will stop me in my tracks and remind me of the love Chris and I share. The Goo Goo Dolls have written multiple songs that resonate with millions of people but “Come to Me” made a mark on my heart that will stay there forever.

Every day since we met you have amazed me with your love. I still find it hard to believe that I get to be your wife. I promise to fill your life with magic every chance I get.

Until next time,
